Produktpass for WooCommerce

Battery passport for WooCommerce

From 18.02.2027, every battery placed on the EU market needs a QR code (Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, Art. 13(6)). Produktpass for WooCommerce creates the battery passport pages and battery QR codes for your products on your own domain.

In preparation: not on WordPress.org yet

See Produktpass Pro

The plugin is finished and is to appear in the WordPress.org plugin directory; until then there is no download here.

Key date

18.02.2027

From 18.02.2027, every battery placed on the EU market needs a QR code (Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, Art. 13(6)).

What Produktpass for WooCommerce does for you

  • Passports on your domain

Every passport has a GS1 Digital Link address on your domain. The passport pages set no cookies and load nothing from other servers.

  • Free and complete

Templates, passport editor, QR codes, badge, overview and export are free and without limits. Produktpass Pro adds serial numbers, the CSV import and the mapping.

  • Your passports stay online

Even if you cancel Pro, every passport stays online as long as the free plugin is active; printed codes keep working.

What the free plugin does

Produktpass for WooCommerce is free and complete: no trial, no watermark and no locked fields.

  • One passport per product and variation, inherited from the parent product, as a passport page of its own or as a link to an external passport, at the levels model and batch.
  • The templates T-BAT-PASS (battery passport under Art. 77) and T-BAT-INFO (the information behind the QR code under Art. 13(6)) with field rules and a check before publishing.
  • GS1 Digital Link addresses on your domain, such as https://your-shop.example/dpp/01/09520000000479, redirects after the address moves, a passport page in the visitor's language and a JSON output.
  • QR codes as SVG and PNG and an A4 print sheet with 24 labels.
  • The badge on the product page: in classic themes at a position you choose, in block themes as a block after the product meta, elsewhere as a block or the shortcode [produktpass_badge].
  • The tab “Produktpass” in the product data and in each variation, the overview with the countdown to 18.02.2027, the change log with versions and the CSV and JSON export of all data.

Produktpass helps you with the battery passport and the battery QR code under Regulation (EU) 2023/1542. The plugin's texts, templates and notes are not legal advice. You remain responsible for your duties and for the accuracy of your data. For a binding answer on your own case, ask a lawyer.
